Cichlids are an amazing family of freshwater fishes found throughout tropical and subtropical waters of the Americas, Africa and parts of Asia. The American Cichlid Association is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to the knowledge and enjoyment of cichlid fishes.

Goals
The ACA strives
  • to gather, organize, and disseminate knowledge of cichlids (family Cichlidae)
  • to promote fellowship among the members, and
  • to further the conservation of species and their natural habitats
What We Do
We accomplish these goals through the following activities:
