Today in the Fishroom~ 4/24/12 Segrest Farms
I'm spending the week taking photos at Segrest Farms in Florida. So far I have photographed over five hundred species of fish...close to two thousand pictures taken in two days...not all that will be processed, but lots of great shots. Three more days of photos to follow. This is an AMAZING place. Every once in a while I get one of those photos that makes it all worth while. Just wanted to share it with y'all.
Vampire Baracuda. Timing is everything.

Mo you are so right that timing is everything. I think that goes hand and hand with patience. I am finding that it take sitting there 30-45 minutes or longer for those breathtaking shots. Though they still do not have the color of your photos. I am finding the essence of the photo is on point. Hopefully I can start posting some more enjoyable pictures.

Yes it should take a bit of time,,,cleaning glass before the shot, takes up valuable time. I would expect the farm does not have pristine glass to shoot thru! LOL
Cheers,Larry

Larry....actually that's one of the things I was most amazed with. A lt of the tanks had the hard water stains, but the Discus tank, and quite a few others were EXTREMELY clear. Here's two photos from my visit.
I still had to clean the front of the tank...but the chore was relatively painless. The amazing part is that I took close to 3500 photos of a thousand species of fish...and I shot 99% of them in a six inch plastic cube.
