Hi Peter. It's nice to hear from you. Hope your knee replacement was a total success and your recovery well along. It's disappointing that your members saw fit to go with just the "tried and true" , albeit same old speakers. Thank you for thinking outside the box on my behalf. I'll just let it go at that.
Your offer to have me speak in the fall is exciting, and I would be pleased to accept your invitation. The offer of transportation and accommodation is fine. Also, I can put together an article for your newsletter. It could be on any number of fish that I've kept. Etroplus canarensis is my latest success and I could certainly do one on that species. As far as a speaking topic goes, Madagascan Cichlids or the Cichlids of India are possibilities although I'm open to other suggestions. I'm looking forward to hearing from you regarding content and timelines of both the article and the talk.

    Hi Jim,
I apologize for disappearing on you a few months ago, but I had knee replacement surgery in the fall.

I had a dispute with the leadership of my local organization concerning our speakers at the 2015 ACA Convention which we are hosting in Springfield, MA. Several members, including our President, refused to even consider you, and they have instead decided to feature everyone that has been at every ACA convention for the past 15 years or more.

I am, however, organizing our speakers for the next 12 months, and I'd like you to consider speaking here, probably in the fall. We pay transportation, and we can either have you stay with one of us or put you in a hotel. Let me know your thoughts.

Finally, I'm the new editor of our newsletter, and I'd welcome an article from you. Your success with Etroplus canarensis and your Madagascar cichlids would be of great interest to our members. Again, let me know if you're willing and able.
