I have been keeping these

over the generations it seems. I got the original fish in New Jersey at the ACA Convention. I

still have them and the offspring that are breeding. I just liked this shot.

Very cool shot. I like

how the males fan the eggs. I've been waiting for my catfish to get back into spawning mode,

but for whatever reason, they've decided to not do that for a bit.

Very cool!
I've

yet to see the eggs from my Bristles even though they've had tons of spawns. The dad's are

always totally blocking the door, so I never see anything until all of the little guys are

released.
I have one of the plastic (needlework?) grids from a craft store suction cupped to

the wall and the minute they are released they go right behind that and have plenty of new food to

eat since the other fish can't get behind it. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

You don't see

as many of the long fins anymore, do you?

What's the trick!

I have the LF albino, and I can't get them to breed. I have Ancistrus sp."Pucallpa"

breeding every four weeks now, but not a thing out of the albino. Do you have them in a bare bottom

tank. What do you feed them.

I'm not Ron, but I might be able to answer that question http://acaforum.com/public/style_emoticons/%3C#EMO_DIR#%3E/wink.gif. Try a couple cooler water changes and make sure the cave you've provided has a small enough door the female can't escape past him. Are there other fish in the tank with them? Warmer water in the summer can frequently put off spawning for these guys.

I normally feed the NL

spectrum wafers, but zuchinni works well also, as do normal cichlid pellets. I never kept mine

with other fish, you can see from the pic the cave used. After that it was just a male and female

and away they went.
