Hi http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif
I have been making and feeding
the standard peas/shrimp etc. frozen goo for several years. It's wonderful.
Question though....does it have to be shrimp? I often see packages of Smelt, Langostinos, etc.
for much cheaper....any opinions on using 'the other white meats' for the mix?
Aren't shrimps high in cholesterol anyway?
Thanks

I would think you could
substitute any kind of shellfish to the recipe and it would work.

Do you buy frozen and then re-freeze? That's not good. If you were
to buy FRESH stuff, then freeze it, that's better. You could also use baby foods. Add baby
vitamins and either add gelatin or freeze in small cubes. If frozen I'd thaw your food before
feeding.
re cholesterol: Are you eating it or feeding it? If you're feeding a good
mix of foods and not just feeders or just bloodworms or just whatever, you're probably doing
the best you can do. They probably eat better than they would anywhere else. Dan
