My wife never really

does anything in the fishroom with me. She likes the fish tanks but usually doesn't ever take

any action in the fishroom. To curb this behavior I asked her to help me "design" the

aquascaping in the 180g I had that I was going to use for a new Firemouth display tank. She

designed all the colors and layouts of the house and the exterior landscapes, so she wanted to know

more. I phished around thru some Amano sites and showed some layouts, then showed her the materials

I had to use, and the plants and she came up with this...WOW! I was impressed from someone who

has NEVER set-up a tank before!!!!

Full tank shot...not finished yet,

had leaking bulkhead and needed to order some more parts, but aquascape is done...

Once I get all the plumbing parts in and the wet/dry is online I

will add the firemouths and put on the canopy!
I think she did an awesome job! I was

soooo nervous because those rocks are heavy and I was waiting for her to crack the tank! She

really did it all and I was like "WOW"!!!!

Ha!
The

funniest thing about keeping cichlids is...they do their own decorating!!!!
The tank hardscape is the same, but the gravel is all over the place and the plants grow where

they can survive! LOL

See? You were nervous for

nothing! Hehe...what a beautiful tank! Your wife has a keen eye for balance and beauty,

look like she took a natural approach too...always my favorite way to go. Now all you will have to

do is deal with the aftermath when she catches the "fever" herself! LOL
