I am trying to find a local

club in Missouri. All I have found was Chicago and that is way to far to go. I was hoping to find

some reputable breeders in Missouri for African Cichlids as well. I love the Cichlids and really

don't know much about them so I thought if I joined a club I would learn so much. Also, I

might be able to find some reputable breeders so I can buy good quality fish.

Well, you can join the MCA. We

have some Missouri members. I know most are from the Kansas City area. You could talk with them.

Also, at one point there was a MAS or Missouri Aquarium Society. I asked them to buy a t-shirt a

year or so back and never got a response back so I don't know if they are defunct or what.

Below is the link to the MCA though.

Check the clubs list on http://www.cichlidforum.com There are quite

a few clubs listed there. You may also want to look at http://www.faas.info although I believe they're going through a rebuilding

process and may not have a lot of member clubs.
Other sites like http://www.duboisi.com also have club

listings.

Tim, what have you heard

about the FAAS rebuilding? It may explain a few things to me.

Many sites have local

fish clubs on them, such C-F as Tim stated or here. A quick search got me. MAS, Heart of America Aquarium Society (http://www.kcfishclub.org/), and the

Southeast Missouri Aquatic Society, Inc.

There are two clubs that I

know of in Missouri. One is in the St.Louis Area (Missouri Aquarium Society, Inc.) and the other

is in the Kansas City area (Heart of America Aquarium Society). Google either and you will find

their web sites.
