they were less than 1/4" from their parents (there were a bunch of pairs spawning in lago
peten), they are getting close to an inch.........

Thanks a lot Andre, in
fact teporatus is an Herichthys carpintis, theres a lot of people who have measure all the
populations and have arrive to the conclusion that teporatus is another cichlid very different than
the real carpintis, in fact Alvarez del Villar describe it quiet time ago.

I'd have to agree that we keep a lot of the same fish!! I have an obsession
with Africans...everytime I see one that I really like it ends up coming home with me http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif
What species are you looking
to add?
WOW I could make a list http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif
I have a very fond love of the African
Malawi's. My only problem is I don't have enough tank space to keep them all.
If
I were only able to add a few I suppose those would have to be:
Aulonocara Dragon Blood
Spotted
Oto. Lithobates Zimbabwe Rock
Copadichromis Azureus Mbenji
I guess my
fav would have to be the Dragon Blood Spotted its color is just awesome.
I am currently
looking into grants that are available. I am in the works of adding a new addition to the place. I
live on 5 acres and want to add a spare house one could say. It would be strictly for a fish house,
but at this time I am in shortage of electricity. My house is only fed with a 100 AMP main. As soon
as I get the addition built I will be in need of a second line ran to my house to use for the fish
house. At this time I cant turn on too many lights in the house without popping a breaker http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif I am currently running at full capacity. I
don't even put up my Christmas lights any more for I know they will blow the breaker when they
are turned on.
So you can see my fish get first usage, heck I don't even run the air
conditioner unless its night time and all tank lights are off. My average house temp is at 84 F
with a humidity level at 65% that is with 2 dehumidifiers running 24/7.

I tried finding a
picture of an Aulonocara Dragon Blood Spotted just out of curiosity, because I'm unaware of
what it looks like. I couldn't find anything that was consistent and started thinking that the
hybrid that I bought from my LFS might be a A. Dragon Blood. What do you think:
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t271/cvmayers/Strawberry.jpg
Not sure on that fish, it
however doesnt look like the one i had in mind.

could be done on a 100 amp service. A 200 amp service is in my plans for the future. I would love
to build a fish house but am too old and tired for that. We have 9.5 acres to do what we want in
the city so I really can't complain. Have someone that knows their electricity check out your
service.
