On occasion, throughout the years I've kept cichlids, a fish will get an illness where it loses first, its use of its caudal fin. Then it loses the use of its caudal penduncle, though the rest of the fish functions are okay. Then it eventually dies from whatever has attacked it. Anyone know what this disease is and how best to treat it (other than by having better water conditions)? Just trying to identify the disease.
