He was a bit agitated and decided to take it out on the driftwood.

The Zonatum is getting "chunkier". I will go on record saying I have never had a

fish that eats like this one.

Close up of the male Red Tiger Motoguense

Sp. "Rio Blanco". I was fortunate enought to move the one lone female to another tank to

grow out. She took an unexpected beating by this guy (4") a while back. I plan on getting

her back in with a divider.

I love the multi colors in his eyes.

Mo, is the "Rio Blanco"

a less colorful variant. Less yellow? I thought I remember seeing some Red Tiger pics from you

with a lot more color in them....maybe not though. In the past I know I have really liked the Red

Tiger Motos, but this variant doesn't seem to have the color I remember. It is different.

Mo,
Like I said

before, the colors in your fish and photos keep putting ideas in my head. Every time I see them, I

think about getting rid of the Africans I have and switch to New world. Beautiful.

Thanks for sharing.

You don't have to get rid

of the Africans...you can just add CA/SA to the mix. http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif There was a BB a few years back that had an

article in it where someone had both in their tanks. The Africans took the rock setups in the

tanks and the CA/SAs took the driftwood areas in the tanks. I am sure you couldn't get all of

them to coexist, but it has been done. I am waiting for Mo to get his first African

tank....someday. http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif You will hear the

Tyrannochromis calling you. http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif
Anyway, this talk of color makes me

think of the goofballs that make the switch to Salt because "there is more color". That

is bunk. They see $150 SW fish and then look at a $1 molly. Have those people ever

looked at a $40 Wild featherfin??? Nope, otherwise they might not make the switch. I am

rambling, but also giving someone something to read. http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif
