Hypselecara temporalis with "fire" in their eyes

A pair of my Chocolate cichlids, in spectacular full breeding dress, are guarding fry that have been free swimming for two days.The video shows just cause for calling them by their other (not so) common name, the Emerald cichlid. Check the intense orange eye coloration..... striking to say the least. They are in a 130 G tank and are in with several other SA cichlids (S. daemon, H. psittacus) and some Madagascans (P. grandidieri, P. petiti). In my opinion, this species has got to be one of the most impressive of the SA cichlids, both visually and behaviorally .

That is an awesome video. I agree with you about the glowing eyes. I still recall the glowing eyes on a pair of Heros that I saw at Milo Manden's house during the 1990 ACA Convention more than two decades ago!
