Hi,

I just joined the forum and the ACA. When I try and look at Buntbarsche Issues I either get a 404 not found error or I am asked for a password I don't seem to have.

Any help appreciated!

Rich.

Are you still having problems? You are listed as an ACA Member so you should have access.

Thanks for the reply. Still having problems. The Pdf is either not there or password protected.

Thanks!

Rich.

Ok this is getting stupid. How do I get my $25 back? I haven't recieved what I paid for. I have given you guys enough time to resolve this. Do I have to report this to Paypal?

Seems to be working fine for me. I'm sure someone will get back to you soon. It is a holiday weekend .

Hi Rich!

Thank you so much for your inquiry on your ACA membership access to the forum.

I have word in to the Web Team and am certain that someone will get your membership access underway shortly. Due to the Holiday, it may take just a bit longer as our volunteers may be enjoying the celebration with family and fireworks.

Thank you so much for your kind patience. We look forward to getting your membership access underway right away!

Happy Independence Day!

All my Best,
Claudia

I had the same problem when I joined recently. I got the same error message. Your problem should resolve within 24-48hrs. It seems that the PDF loads really slow. I was frustrated like you, got up to take a break, and a half an hour or so later the PDF was there.

Thanks all. I look forward to getting this resolved.

I looked at your profile and everything is set correctly for you to view BB issues.

Next step is we reset your password and I log in under your username and eliminate any computer issues.

This still isn't working. Tried Windows and Linux..Firefox and Explorer. A 404 is a 404 in anyone's language I guess.

The most recent BB's ask for a password..the vast majority just don't exist. I also see others having similar problems.

Still looking forward to a resolution.

Thanks.

Rich.

I just reset your password and logged in under your username. I had no problem downloading the BB. It does load slow. Perhaps your browser times out. I don't know...not a techy guy. I e-mailed the password I used to access your account. You can reset it when you log in the first time. If you still have issues after this, let me know.

I logged in under both of yours and londonloco's account and didn't have a problem. I'm not a techy guy....is it possible that your browser is timing out while waiting for the BB to download? Regardless...I reset the passwords and emailed you both what I used. You can reset after logging in what I used.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks Mo, I logged in, I can get into all areas of the site now. Not sure what the problem was, but it's fixed on my account. Changed my password back also. Thanks again. Loni

Thanks for trying! The top 3 BB's ask for credentials I don't have. The rest immediately go to a 404 error. The browser isn't timing out...it just can't find the files.

Thanks again.

A suggestion that worked for me after my membership was renewed was to clear out my browsing cookie for this site. If you are unsure of how to do that, google it for your browser. All the BBs are working fine for me, at least the ones I have tried this morning.

You may also force a "hard refresh" on the page you are getting the 404 file error by pressing "CTRL" and "F5" together at the same time.

As suggested...try clearing your cache and trying again. I had no trouble downloading the BB's you mentioned using your account.

Once again, sorry for the inconvenience.

I tried clearing the cache just for the heck of it. I also tried using a 5th device to try and view BB issues..no luck. I've tried both Linux and Windows, Firefox and Explorer. Totally different computers coming from different IP's with different browsers and operating systems.

Like I said above, I get an immediate 404 on most BB's and it asks for credentials for the top 3 issues. I really can't see this being an issue with any of my computers. I never have problems with viewing stuff, I've also worked in IT Security for over 20 years so I'm not really new to this stuff either.

Confused and a little upset.

Rich,

I don't know what to say. Like I said, I reset the password under your account, then logged in under your account. I had no problem accessing any of it. All of your settings are correct as well. I can appreciate the frustration. I'm just out of answers. We're not owner/operators...just volunteers for the club. If i can't successfully solve your problem, I will gladly request that your $25 is reimbursed.

Let me know if this is the course of action you want to pursue.

Again pal...sorry.

Mo,

I'd rather try and get this working. I really want to see what BB looks like. It looks like there is some interesting stuff there.

If it doesn't work then I'd like to stay an ACA member anyway..just it'll be a little disappointing.

Thanks a lot for trying to help, Mo and others. I really appreciate it.

Rich.

Well, you will get the hard copy. Let me know if anything changes.
