View Full Version : Video taping / ACA convention speakers

I don't know if this can

be done actually legally or if some of the speakers would object to it but would it be possible to

tape the speakers burn it on a DVD and offer it to the members for sale after the convention. Maybe

people like me who have never been to a convention and don't get the chance either to hear a

speaker since they have no local club or people that missed the speech since the took a side tour

would be interested to purchase some of the videos. I have no idea actually how much work would be

involved in that but some members might have all the equipment already at home to pull this of and

it could be another way for the ACA to generate more money.

This has come up for

discussion several times. It always gets shot down for legal reasons. There are a lot of speakers I

would also like to see. Our local club brings in speakers for our meetings, so I get to see some. A

lot of the speakers will not sign the appropriate releases to allow a recorded version of their

talk to be offered.
