I was going to put the big male in the breeding thank an 3 females ..they are now in a big tank (12 fish) these are wild and i am having a hard time trying to breed them ...ANY IDEAS

How big are they? Mine started to really kick into gear about 3"...

Feed heavily: mine loved red wiggler worms

Also, bump up the temp: 84 or so

Finally, provide lots of hiding spots for holding females (PVC worked for mine). They're REALLY skitish about spitting...

The fish are about 4 in ....I have not turned heat on that high,I will also start some worms.....thanks alot Matt

They really like the heat...I think that you'll see breeding activity (and probably aggression) accelerate...
