These fish have always
interested me but I never got the opportunity to keep them.

They are juveniles ant about
4" and it is amazing to see the amount of food they eat.

species are they?
Do they require a pure vegetable diet?

They are "Uaru
amphiacanthoides".
These guy's eat anything they can get with an unbelievable
appetite.

I've always been a
fan of Urau. I don't think they are the most colorful cichlid but their appearance as adults
more than make up for their lack of colors. Awesome looking fish as adults.
