hey everyone.
I'm looking to completely swap out my 75gl african tank. I know it will be a process due to having about 20 fish in that tank. I'm doing it for numerous reason but mainly because my fish while certainly surviving and healthy(oddly enough ZERO aggression even with huge bumblebee cichlid) they arent thriving due to having just one of each cichlid. And even though its supposed to be an ALL male tank i've so far had two batches of fry, found out THIRD on the way today!!!
my question is about severums. I'm hoping to goto a severum tank, breeding hopefully as well. i just picked up 2 that are in a 20gl for now. they are pretty small still but what goes well with severums? would I be able to keep my more docile peacocks with them? go with all south americans? at first i thought about finding electric blue jacks but i know the aggression probably wouldnt help out too much! eventually when the severums are moved to the 75 i will be adding more of them by the way.
thanks in advance for any responses!

You'll be lucky if you are able to keep the 2 severums you have now in a 75 gallon tank much less add more. The peacocks won't work with severums. I would stick with South American tank mates if I were you. I originally had 3 Severums in a 90 and I eventually had to seperate them, all males but you may have better luck with yours. There are some really interesting Geophaugus in the hobby right now and you may be able to place a few of those with your severums and have a really nice tank. Just remember that South Americans aren't like Africans in that you put as many as you can in the tank in hopes of stemming aggression.
