These fish have spawned
several times already but never held on to the fry. I hope that this is the time. The female has
already taken the eggs so I will know very soon if it will work this time.

Nice shots Klaus. I hope their
spawning is successful.

How is the spawning
going? Just wanted to see if this was the time?

Good luck with them this time.
Mine have spawned twice with no luck so far. Great pics too. I am battling ich right now in my geo
tank. The altifrons I just recieved transferred it to my topajos.

They have spawned several
times but never got any fry. Over the holidays I moved them in a larger tank (150g) and hope that
it will help. Be assured that I will post pictures as soon as I have fry. http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

My two pairs both swawned two
days ago, as of last night the eggs were still there. So far, so good.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Mike. Mine spawn on a regular
bases but they never hold on to the fry.
Well, maybe next time http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif

I have now seen the wigglers.
The parents of one of the groups has dug a pit and spits the fry into it, then goes and eats. They
guard the pit with a vengeance.

That seems like a very good
sign!

They all seem to be well. I do
not know how many fry there will be yet. The fry are not big enough to be left to swim on their own
by parents yet.

Well Mike, it seems that
you are through the worst and will be the proud owner of some fry http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif
Congratulations.

Thank you very much. Last
night I was watching them and one of the mom's was in a large clay pot. As I was watching her
she would spit the fry out into the back of the pot, they would swim towards the front and just
before they got to the end she would pick them up and spit them back into the back of the pot. She
would do this over and over again it was great to watch. There was about 50 fry in just her batch.
There is also another batch but I have not seen them yet.
