My Diet for my last week of the Parachromis....Huge Growth, esp from my Honduran Mango.
(I have 1x-Parachromis managuensis 'Honduran" & 5x-Parachromis sp. Yellow Head La Cieba both from Mo purchased at this years ACA)
The Mango has almost tripled in size since I got him. The Freddies are all over the place, 1 huge, and each smaller down the chain.
Thursday - Frozen Krill
Friday - Tetra Sticks, NLS Cichlid, & Tetra Cichlid Crisps
Saturday - Frozen Mysis
Sunday - Tetra Sticks NLS Cichlid, & Crisps
Monday - Frozen Krill
Tuesday - Bloodworms
Wednesday - Frozen Mysis
Any additions or suggestions form you Central Folks?

Sounds spoiled! Haha!
Just make sure they keep a taste for pellets. They're the easiest way to get a full range of vitamins to your fish. Sometimes the bigger guys get stuck on market shrimp, so I've had to resort to stuffing the shrimp with pellets prior to feeding.
Got any photos?

chc-
Thanks,They are spoiled babies...Pellets in addition to the Tetra Sticks, NLS (NLS Cichlid is so small, it does not even count) and the Tetra Crisps? I have Bio-Gold - They do not likey, I also have a Dainichi Pellet Mix that I combined the best (IMHO) but have not used for a while.
Ill try to get some shots tonight, Maybe able to get some of the La Cieba (Basement) but the Mango is in the Show 75 upstairs and gets a lot of daylight, not conductive for good pictures.

I feed the cocktail shrimp. $6.99 a bag. Deveined and shelled. Feed em to the SA, CA, Fronts, Pike and Champs. Once or twice a week only. Also toss some silver sides in occassionally. You could give the silversides a shot too Nuth.
Yeah, that's the stuff I use too (though not always shelled; the biggest guys don't even care and the shells have some value to them). Just make sure to get the raw shrimp, not the cooked....... AND NO COCKTAIL SAUCE! ; )
Steve, I think I'm the one who's spoiled! I just like watching them hammer a whole shrimp! Pellets are definitely cheaper, and probably healthier.
Chris K, I'd ditch the Tetra and get some of the larger NLS. It'll be good for you to keep them having a taste for it. They make slightly larger sinkers and floaters and a much larger XL pellet too. I also use the wafers for the biggest fish. Xtreme makes a good food in a variety of sizes too. That or NLS would be all you need as far as prepared foods go. For what it's worth, although those foods can seem expensive, if you buy them in bulk they are pretty affordable. I get my NLS (and frozen foods) from the guys at Jehmco.com.

Sounds like a great diet already to me. I agree with leaving shells on the shrimp for those feeding shrimp.

Bob- That's a great suggestion, My Guys seem a lil small for Silversides tho, BUt Ill get there, You know what I am doing with just the 3 show tanks, and they will get 100 attention...Love my Parachromis!

chc- How about Dainichi? Or a sinking Bio-Gold? (A little more available for me) They do love the sticks tho...

Thanks Dean, That is for sure, but they have to get more size before I get to that...
I do dither/target with Silver Dollars (AquaMoJo suggestion a long time ago, their now huge, about 5-6" Diameter) and they steal target foods, so I try to make sure I add some greens for them as well...
Feedback? Thanks in advance for the help given already! :D

NLS and Xtreme are the best two prepared foods I know of right now. Dainichi and Bio-Gold are probably fine, the whole issue may be splitting hairs, but I don't see a reason to take a chance.
I'm not sure, but I think ACA member Ken Davis may still be selling Xtreme. Try him out for availability.
