are there "convicts" in Belize? in the early early stages on planning a collecting trip for 2011 and just looking over species in a few select countries........

None listed here:<http://biological-diversity.info/Fish_freshw.htm>. I've read that snorkelers on the mainland have found some that may be. You should try a Google search on "cichlids in Belize".

I don't think in Belize, but you can find firemouths. You can deffinately find convicts in Costa Rica.
