in a new tank. they were in a bag and bucket for a while, didnt like it. much better colors when

they get used to it again.

my hopeful mini midas convic male :blob1:, been raising this

bugger for 7 months? only little over 4in!! and he was a couple inches when i got him.

growing slow but great, hiding in the ca of a low lit dirty tank...crappy pics , and they are on an

angle....looks more like the "mini midas" on a side pic,,,but he wouldnt turn

and t-mac, and one of his 3 brides...... one is injured, one is

too small, one am not 100% its a female.... no luck here. :embarassed:

for the shots.
Gold Severums have long been my favorite fish. Have not had any for a few

years now. May just have to get back to them again. Had the Red shoulders for a while but they

quickly took over the fishroom when I let them breed and could not get rid of the fry.
This is

what the tanks looked like after a couple of months. LOL Yes, I have posted this before.

like the green and rotkeil,
no idea what others their are.

The Rotkeil have

several names in my area stores. I have seen them as Red Shoulders, Red face and one store sells

them as Brickface. All the same fish. Most of the fry you see in the picture ended up as food

for MsCichlids Pikes.

Was the only way to get rid of

them. Two or three spawns and I flooded the market. No tanks for grow out.
Only had 48 tanks

at the time and 1/2 were for those 2 or 3 spawns.
