Hi All,
Every year we get invaded by flying Termites. It's usually just after the first rains of the rainy season. Around our home is several termite hills, you never see them until the rains come. They don't bite so that is a plus. They are attracted to the lights...when they land they shead their wings then they grab a mate and they just run around the floor in twos, millions of em, it's like having a moving carpet...the following morning you only see the odd couple and a few dead ones, so i haven't a clue where they all go, but we have to clean up buckets full of wings and dead ones. We usually throw them into the lake. Last year we rigged up a lightbulb on the end of a long piece of bamboo and had it overhanging the lake, turned all the lights off and they where fallen into the lake the fish had a field day. also what the Thai's tend to do is put big buckets of water out and a lot fall in, they then collect them once dead, dry them then deep fry them, I have not tried them as I'm not too keen on bugs, but no doubt they are full of protein.
