What was she eating previously? How warm is your tank? How do the parameters differ from where she was being kept? Are the other fish bullying her? Is she active or dark? The more information you can give us, the more apt we'll be to have information that will actually help. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum! Barbie is right, the more info we have, the more we can help you. Besides her excellent questions, here are a couple of mine: Does your new discus take food in but spit it out? If not, what is its behavior at feeding time?

she was eating the same food.. temp 30 c .. no other fish annoying her. she is not dark but she prefers hiding.. at feeding time she may run with others toward food but once close to it she looks not interested in it at all.. many thanks for you.

Wow. Usually it is a change of food that causes them not to even recognize what you are feeding them. Does she appear bloated? Has she pooped since you got her?

If she's running to the food, thats a good sign because she's hungry. Sounds like she's just not getting what she wants. With new discus I've usually had really good luck with frozen blood worms to get them eating something right away. After a few days or a week of only eating the bloodworms mine have luckily always taken cue from the other discus in the tank and moved on to the granule food I feed them. When I would do this, I put the bloodworms and granules in at the same time. The bloodworms go quick and put them in a feeding frenzy. So sometimes the new guy/girl may go after the granules when the bloodworms run out because of their mood. I hope this works for you, good luck.
