Sourcing CARES species

In order to be fair to

everyone, and in order to provide an validated listing of fish accepted into ACA CARES, an

evaluation of where the fish came from and potentially to examine the fish by photo or other means

may be needed.

We want to be sure the fish in the ACA CARES effort are the correct

species. We are still discussiing the specifics of this effort and will keep everyone informed as

we have a thorough and workable plan in effect. Please be patient as we work this out.

We discussed this some more

yesterday. The ACA CARES program is designed to allow member to participate as a primary goal,

with encouragement and recognition. As members submit their species list for acceptance into ACA

CARES, they will be accepted, but ACA Members will have to go the distance if they really want to

be sure the fish they are keeping are the correct species.

We are still putting together

the final details, but I hope we have this information out very soon. Please stay tuned and help

us work through the details so we can have a manageable program that is worth participating in.

Excellent idea! after my

little experience with my T.snyderae and the confusion on id I think this is a must for active

participation in CARES.
