Well, I just stripped a holding

female Kenya Gold. First time for me with these fish. The female is about 2.75". I stripped

7 fry. Not great, but better than nothing!!! http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif I am happy. And, I have 3 more holding

yet!! http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif Going to get those 3

females done on Saturday I think. Should be a fishy weekend!

Good luck with those fry

Led.

From my expierence and what other say too, Lake Victorian rock cichlids breed

heavily as juveniles and then drop off as adults. Do you have a digital camera? Any chance of

picture?

The kids or the cats....most

likely the kids broke my digicam. Here is a link of what they look like Bob. Nice looking fish

IMO!!! http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

Had another thought. I think I

will be wanting to hold onto both of the Vics I have, but I don't want their spawning to

disappear. Bob, do you hold onto fry at some point and replace them??? I wouldn't want to try

to find the Black Haps or Kenya Gold that I have now again. Kind of difficult the first time for

the Golds. The Black & Orange Haps kind of fell into my lap. But, that won't happen

again!!! http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

Just got a thread update.

Nice fish Led and M-1. Would not mind keeping some of those Kenya golds some day. Good luck with

breeding the fish.

The H. chromogenys are very high on my want list.

The chromogenys are cool

fish,I had a group a few years ago.The males are very hard on the females.I ended up loosing every

single female and was left with 2 males.I know a place online that has them????Maybe we could split

an order sometime and get them?????Just what we both need>>>>>more

fish!!! http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif

LED they are not the

piebalds, these are darker colored. They are black OB pattern with red trim on the dorsal and

tail.

Bob I will have to wait until after october.I am already getting some tropheops

red cheeks and lilacs, along with some syno multis and petricolas in october.I will try to keep you

up to date on when I can get something going on ordering some in,I would really like to get

some!!!! M1 http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ph34r.gif

Ooooh, sounds like a sweet

looking fish. I might want some too. Let me know when you guys pull the trigger on this.
Hopefully you are getting some nice Lilacs M1. I have heard there are some crappy ones floating

around. You either get really nice Lilacs or crappy ones I guess. The red cheeks are a nice fish.

http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif I like both those types of Tropheops and

have considered them in the past, but they never rated high enough and I never got a good enough

price that I had to have them.
M1 you going to meet Bob and I at the MCA meet end of the

month? I was wondering....if so could you bring the 10 demasoni for me? LMK. Thanks! http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

I was thinking about

showing up,not 100% sure yet but will let you know.I have seen pics of the parents of the tropheops

and both look good to me,like you said though there are some duds out there and I would never buy

them sight unseen. The price is right!! M1
