Breeding Synodontis
multipunctatus is fun and profitable. http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif Sometimes cichlids fail to cooperate.
http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif The word is Vic cichlids never seem to
realize their eggs are consumed by these hungry little monstors and vics just keep breeding.
This is not working using P. nyererei. Of course female is not letting male fertilize eggs
http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif so it is not surprising the multis cannot
get in there either.
Any thoughts on cichlid species to maximize fun and profit?

Pundamillia are to aggressive,
get some Astastotilapia species like calliptera. Any of the more common Victorians that are easy to
breed like flameback, blue fire fins, ect will work also. Ken

Hey Bobrfish. If you
are wanting to make profit off fish which everyone does it. Hey it supports my hobby and thats
Mbuna from Malawi. You go get you a tank with some Red Zebras, O.b. Zebras, Pseu. Lombardi(my old
money maker), demasoni, arutus, electric yellow, hell get some Angelfish(just bought me 20 yest.
for that reason)the key to make some money to spend on you some rare fish is the pet store fish
they always sell because if you notice when you goto a pet store that carries African Cichlids all
the small fish that sell everyday are colorful and they want usually 9-10 bucks for them, all the
big fish they have are Peacocks they want 35 and up. What plan jane wants to buy a brown peacock
fish when its young that will not colorup for awhile. You might think well I can sell them
(peacocks) for more to pet stores when they color up, well your wrong you will spend more money and
time feeding, water changes just to make $8 a fish(it will make you sick when they put
$40 right after you walk out) and then they usually only want 6-7 at a time and no females so
yeah MBUNA all the way for making money to SUPPORT your hobby so you spend no money. The Mbuna grow
fast too. You can get some Mbuna that will throw off 40-50 a spawn and in 3 months take them to the
pet store depending on where you live you should atleast still be able to get $1.25 a fish and
if you have 5 females spawning every month you ad it up before no time you will have the Rare ones
then you can supply a local Internet Fish Distributer and then get a desent price for your fish. I
am breeding Julidochromis Marlieri I got about 300 1" growing out right now. Don't try
these guys they take for every to grow I just have someone I can wholesale to. Damn I just noticed
I have been talking about Malawi fish in the Victorian section. If you want to try Victorians I
can only suggest finding out what color morph of Hap. Obliquiden are the most colorful when they
are young. http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif But anyways Good
Luck!
