Since the tank is in the bedroom I often wake

up in the middle of the night to the sound of her trying to eat her way out of the tank ???

Wow, that is a big fish. She

looks great too! I can see why she is alone, it would be difficult to find suitable tankmates

I bet.

Since the photo was posted I

have gotten my hands on a very impressive male of similar size. They are now in a divided 6'

150gallon tank. The female as gotten very excited but the male seems to have no interest as of yet.

fingers crossed...

Got pretty lucky getting a suitable

mate for her. http://cichlid.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif Does the male have a lot

of blue in him?? I used to have buttis and it seemed like some of them had blue and others

didn't. I was a newbie then and wasn't much into spawning any fish so at that time I

didn't vent fish or even guess M or F.
