I have a few left after

losing many.

IMO, get a BIG tank. They are aggressive as adults and will not

hesitate to kill each other. I would not use anything less than 180 gal tank. However, see http://www.malawicichlidhomepage.com/aquai...nourissati.html (http://www.malawicichlidhomepage.com/aquainfo/paretroplus_nourissati.html) where smaller

tanks are used.
A number of folks who keep this fish use other Madagascan fish in the tank to

help distract the lamena and disperse the aggresion.

The fish accept a broad range of

water conditions and do well with hard alkaline water. The fish take whatever food is offered. I

have not seen any breeding activity to date.

For the most comprehensive information

about this fish consider obtaining:

& Jean-Claude Nourissat
