I am really enjoying having

this fish. The colors are simply beautiful. Here's the breeding male.

The back half of the female.

And the back half of the male.

One of four Synspilum in the 300 gallon tank with the Gourami. If you have followed my

posts you might remember the Synspilum in a previous photo. He was pretty beat up. They all seem

to have spruce up a bit.

The other male. There are two in the tank.

Synspilum on the half shell. I caught this big guy getting out of the breeding area

the only way he could...sideways.

Just lovely...

I particularly like the guy caught in the act of squirming his way through the breeding

area wall. (*!*)

All the Best!

Isn't it amazing

how once a pair is formed, the other fish color up as well!

WOW. I for the most part cant

even get to the part of appreciating the beauty of the fish. I get stuck on the crisp, clean,

clear, and outstanding picture quality style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

Fish are great

looking, I too enjoy the male popping back out of the breeding area sideways style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ph34r.gif

Can you pass on a few tips to all of us who have probs

getting that type of a shot, not the patience part, but the camera type, what settings, background

lights, like do you shoot them in a dark room with just tank lights or do you use a flash and take

it at an angle to avoid the flash back....

So many variants on a way to get a good pic,

I am wanting to learn more.

To get the same shot I would have to put my camera on

record, (its a semi cheesy digital camera) and then take the recording on my PC and move it frame

at a time and take the stills out of it that way. After I far to often have to black out the

background using my stone age MS Paint and zoom in on the pic to max, then 1 pixel at a time trace

out the fish and black out the background because it is rather grainy and grey because of the

camera and lighting.

Also what program do you use to watermark your photos? I have

always like that.
